Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

Actually it's a tie, the last half of March sucked and so far April sucks too, so I guess it should be the crappiest months. Let's see, head manager resigned, she was actually a good boss, she hated the company too but lucky her had another job lined up, shit this means more work for the four of us in the office until they are able to con some idot into the job. Worst part, no thanks from the company for picking up the slack. You know it's going to be a bad day when time minutes after you get to work you want to leave and go get drunk, not that I've ever been drunk, just tipsy and happy, but then very tired and sleepy. Then Head Head boss resigned, her last day is this coming friday. Let's just words can't say how happy I was in hearing that, she's a overly tall (even next to me and I'm not Munchkin), over-tanned (with leather skin) short over bleached hair and has a obsession with hot pink, she sucked. Rumor is she's not relly resigning to spend time with the family but it was one of those resign or get fired things, HA! The I just found out my buddy John (whose divorced parents are an ex-nun and ex-black panther priest, saving that story for later) is also leaving this coming friday. I think he had enough of the stress and bullshit, funny thing I first heard of the company when I was applying for his job. I finally had my review with said Head Head boss who had gone over it with newly gone boss, it sucked. They have the nerve to say I did worse this year than last, what the fuck!! I have slaved for, worked mass over time for, changed my schedule for, sacrificed for and bled, yes bled for the company, plus all the numerous massive bruises. Now I don't think it's fair for someone to review me who doesn't work with me on a day to day basis, doesn't say specifics, just general comments, has the nerve to rate my unsatisfactory because I don't say fucking HELLO at 8 in the morning etc. She even wrote down on my review that because my job duties are going to be change because of a new computer system I need to ask for addition duties. Addiction duties, what the hell, I barely have enough time as it is to finish things and that's with skipping my two breaks and even lunch sometimes. Plus I son't think when review lasts years performance you should right a comment about future events, it sounds negative and is unethical I think. So I e-mailed her and ask to have a copy of this year and last years review, she replying that it's not company policy. Now I have her, she just broke the law. According to the State of Illinois (820 ILCS 40/) Personnel Record Review Act, I have every right to review my personnel file, and even have a copy! HA HA. I can't wait to go to the HR manager with that one. My feeling is that didn't review my performance at the other location I worked at. The pathetic raise I got will barely cover the raise in the CTA fare, two steps forward, one step back. Needless to say I am definately on the job hunt. Now this makes me feel shitty and unappreciated, how can you say it's bad to be too detail, that's my job! UGH Maybe it's good that I leave for my great Canada adventure on the 21st, and I have no idea what I'm going to do there besides look for good knitting shops, maybe I'll find myself a tall straping Canadian boy, eh? One thought that did cross my mind, and it will be very interesting if this happens, I wonder if they will offer me John's job in the upstairs offices.
